Abstract The objective of this study is to assess the horizontal bone gain following utilization of patient specific titanium sheet in patients with horizontal deficiency in the anterior maxilla 1.Research hypothesis: The use of titanium sheets for augmentation of horizontally deficient anterior maxilla will be efficient, time saving, and provide accurate reconstruction. 2.Rationale for conducting the research: In the treatment planning process, adequate available bone is required for effective dental implants to replace missing dentition. (Rieder et al., 2016) The titanium sheet is a; rigid non resorbable and impermeable membrane, acts as space maintenance, provides clot protection, and a barrier that prevents bacterial contamination of the graft. The titanium sheet can also; prevent graft resorption, less morbid, is considered more accurate for contour reconstruction, and has less operative time than the well known autogenous bone technique (M Andreasi Bassi et al., 2016) 3. Objectives of the study The primary objective: Assess the horizontal bone gain The secondary objective: Evaluation of formed bone quality by histopathological examination of core biopsy 4. Trial design: • Clinical case series study • Framework equivalence |
