Abstract
Heavy metals are considered as environmental pollutants which cause a lot of adverse effects on several physiological and biochemical processes in plant cells, and their accumulation and transportation throughout food chain become toxic to animal and human. Recently, plant growth promoting microorganisms (PGPM), are used as biofertilizers in association with plant rhizosphere to provide the soil by various essential nutrients and other beneficial components, as well as alleviate the inhibitory effects of several environmental stresses including heavy metals.
