Abstract

Improvement of anterior knee pain after Arthroscopic patellar denervation had been reported The main objective of our study was to assess the effect of arthroscopic patellar denervation in management of ant. Knee after High tibial osteotomy operation We hypothesized that patients with arthroscopic patellar denervation would show significant improvement postoperatively than the control group A prospective controlled study was carried out in the period from March 2017 to March 2019. 40 patients (24 to 16 males; ages 30-59 years, mean 45 years), were complaining of PFOA, mild to moderate tibiofemoral OA and varus knee. Study group included 20 patients while control group included 20 patients Both groups had standard treatment of tibiofemoral OA and varus knee with OWHTO and the study group arthroscopic patellar denervation in addition to OWHTOThe protocol included two knee score Kujala anterior knee score and Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS) Scores were recorded at the preoperative visit and at postoperatively flow-up. scores have improved significantly post-operative follow in the group A more than the group.
