The present study aimed to investigate Anxiety and Depression among Males and Females Adolescents Higher and Lower Psychological Resilience, Method: this study used a comparative correlation descriptive method. The study was conducted on a purposive sample of Qatari adolescents consisting of (408) Adolescents, (189) females and (219) males, their age ranged from (14-18) years. The study used: Data collection sheet, Psychological Resilience Questionnaire (Prepared by Researcher), Beck’s Depression Inventory, and Spielberger State-Trait Anxiety Inventory. results showed a significant negative correlation between Psychological Resilience and Anxiety, and the absence of a correlation between Psychological Resilience and Depression among male adolescents those with high Psychological Resilience. As for adolescent girls who are high in Psychological Resilience; The correlation between Psychological Resilience and Anxiety did not reach the acceptable level of significance, except for Physical Resilience component, which was negatively correlated with Anxiety. It was also found that there is a negative correlation between Psychological Resilience and Depression. It was also found that there was a significant negative correlation between Psychological Resilience and Anxiety among adolescents with low Psychological Resilience. on the other hand, the correlation between Psychological Resilience and Depression did not reach the required level of significance, except for the significant negative correlations between Psychological Resilience and some qualitative Symptoms of Depression. It was also found that there is significant negative correlation between Psychological Resilience and Depression among adolescent girls who are low in Psychological Resilience. Regarding to the results that show the predictive ability of mood state among male adolescents’ sample: it was found that (16%) of the variance in the total score of Psychological Resilience is explained by the total score of Anxiety. As for girl’s adolescents’ sample: it was found that (48%) of the variance in the total score of Psychological Resilience is explained by the total of score depression. It was also found that the overall score model for mood state (Depression and Anxiety), together had a predictive ability to explain the variation that occurs at a rate of (52%) in the total score of Psychological Resilience. It was also found that the model of total scores for mood (Depression and Anxiety), and Symptoms of Motivation Dysfunction and Personal Competence together had a predictive ability to explain the variance that occurs at a rate of (55%) in the total score of Psychological Resilience. It was also found that the model of the total score of Anxiety and Symptoms of Motivation Dysfunction and Personal Competence together had a predictive ability to explain the variation that occurs at a rate of (55%) in the total score of Psychological Resilience. Finally, it was found that there are significant differences between male and female adolescents in Psychological Resilience, Anxiety and Depression, in addition to significant differences between high levels of Psychological Resilience compared to low male and female adolescents in both Anxiety and Depression. Results have been discussed and interpreted according to previous research results and available psychological literature.
