Abstract The popularity of cloud computing as an attractive alternative to classic Information processing systems has been growing. Cloud computing has emerged as an innovative paradigm for delivery of applications, platforms, and computing resources (processing power/bandwidth/storage) to customers in a Pay-as-You-Go (PaYG) model. Cloud computing falls into three models: Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). SaaS Clouds provide software services to end users. IaaS Clouds provide a virtual computing environment, where computing capacity is delivered by assigning Virtual Machines (VMs) to IaaS users on demand. This allows cloud users to run their applications on the most appropriate virtual machine instances and pay for the actual resources that are used. |
