Abstract Premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) which are early depolarizations of the myocardium originating from the ventricle rather than the sinoatrial node, are usually considered a benign condition in the absence of structural heart disease; however, frequent PVCs can impair the left ventricular function and cause PVC-induced cardiomyopathy. PVCs occurring during exercise were associated with increased mortality rates, and exercise testing was suggested to predict the prognosis of PVC patients. this study will evaluate the role of exercise ECG to predict effectiveness of medical treatment (beta blocker and class Ic antiarrhythmic drugs) in controlling PVCs and reducing the exercise-induced change in PVCs burden . |
