Abstract A field experiment was carried out during 2017/2018 and 2018/1019 seasons at the Nursery and Laboratory of ornamental plants as well as Food Science Laboratory, faculty of Agric., Minia Univ. to evaluate the influence of humic acid (HA) methods of application (as seed soaking, soil addition, foliar spray, seed soaking + foliar spray and soil addition + foliar spray) and concentrations ( 0, 50, 100, 200, 300 and 400 ppm) as well as their interaction on vegetative growth (plant height, stem diameter, number of main branches/plant and plant dry weight), yield components (number of pods/plant, seed yield/plant and /fed. and harvest index), leaf pigments content (chlorophyll a, b and carotenoids) and seed nutritional value (protein, total lipids, ash, moisture, dry matter and polyphenolic contents) of fenugreek plants. The obtained results indicated that both methods of application and concentrations of HA individually or in combinations were significantly augmented all studied characters. The most effective treatment which produced the highest values was HA at 400 ppm as a soil addition + foliar spray. |
