Abstract

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of Beauveria bassiana as entomopathogenic fungus. Artifitial infestation by mealybug insect Phenacoccus solenopsis and their interactions on the vegetative growth, some physiological activities, and chemical compositions of cotton (Gossypium barbadence) plant and tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) plant were studied. Also, controlling the pest P. solenopsis using endophytic fungus for enhancing plant was carried out. The experiment was conducted in 2019 during the summer season at Shandaweel Agriculture Research Station, Sohag Governorate.
