المستخلص This research aimed at developing science curricula in the light of the expanded curricula requirements to improve life skills and motivation for achievement for the visually impaired pupils at the primary stage. The participants of this research were 13 male and female visually impaired pupils at the fourth grade at Al-Nour School for the Blind in Western Mansoura Directorate. To collect data, the researcher used six instruments: a list of the expanded curricula requirements, a tool for analyzing science curriculum for the visually impaired pupils, two developed science units for the visually impaired pupils in the light of the expanded curricula requirements, an achievement test, a life-skills scale, and a motivation for achievement scale. Research results indicated the urgent need for developing the science curriculum in the light of the expanded curricula requirements. Besides, the research results revealed the effectiveness of the developed science curriculum in the light of the expanded curricula requirements for fourth year visually impaired pupils in improving life skills and motivation for achievement for them. In the light of these results, the researcher presented some recommendations and suggestions for further research. |
