Abstract

Resilience skill plays a vital role for head nurses in facing work challenges especially in intensive care units .It enables head nurses to cope with their work environment hardships and maintain stable psychological functioning. Therefore, head nurses should have high level of resilience skills as purposeful life, perseverance, self-reliance,existential aloneness and equanimity. Productive head nurses and strong facilitative leadership behavior are important to produce an environment that increases job satisfaction and nursesꞌ commitment for organization. So, the head nurses need to develop resilience and empowering behavior to achieve productive goals and learn staff nurses how to cope with challenges. Therefore, head nurses need to have high level of leading by example, coaching, showing concern, informing and participative decision making empowering behavior.Aim of study: The present research aimed to assess the relation between head nurses’ resilience level skill and their empowering behavior.
