Abstract All over the world, Egyptian Gulf of Suez attract the attention of exploration geologists to discover the crude oil from different reservoirs, The Gulf of Suez considered one of the most important hydrocarbon provinces in Egypt and throughout the world since it still have a new exploration opportunities. Edfu field is located in the southern part of the Gulf of Suez west of Morgan field. It’s a 100% owned by GUPCO (Joint venture between Egyptian General Petroleum Corporate (EGPC) and Dragon Oil Company). It’s located in block 324 which is a part of Morgan Concession. The field has been producing since 2002; the cumulative production is about 23 MMBOE (Million Barrel Oil Equivalent). The main purpose of this study is to define and build robust structural model/pattern for the field, understand the stratigraphic sequences of Nezzazat and Nubia reservoirs in Edfu oil Field and track the reservoir properties variation along Nezzazat and Nubia in order to define the different hydraulic units and barriers, to obtain a valuable knowledge about the further potentiality of hydrocarbon accumulations and the distribution of different sand intervals in the study area. The present thesis deals mainly with the interpretation of seismic well ditch cuttings data, subsurface geologic data and logging da five wells drilled in Edfu field. Petrological and petrophysical fea were obtained. These data are evaluated to challenge the main resen characteristics and investigate the homogeneity of different sandst intervals of Nubia, Raha, Abu Qada, Wata and Matulla Formati along Edfu field. This study revealed that the mam producing formation is Nub however, it is producing from Nezzazat reservoir intervals. The qual of sandstone improved towards northeast direction of the study ar There is either lateral homogeneity in each interval but there is vertical communication between Nezzazat Reservoir intervals in t most of wells. Nubia reservoir is completely separated from Nezza in productivity. The structural model indicates a good opportunity \ .” ” " ~ " ” ” the Northeastern and southwestern directions of the study area £ exploration wells, also the Eastern part of Edfu Field still have ne validity for appraisal and development wells as the structure toward! the East side is sealed from the main block. This recommendatio supported also by the facies and petrophysical models created for eac reservoir rock unit separately. |
