Abstract

Reproductive health is a universal concern, but is of a special importance for women particularly during reproductive year. Reproductive health rights are a relatively new concept. It has been the target of family health programs worldwide since the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) held in Cairo in 1994. However, in many countries, sexual and reproductive health needs focusing specifically on younger people who are often neglected (185). This study was conducted on females attending the family health unit to assess their knowledge, attitude and practice regarding reproductive health. The results revealed that more than half of the studied females (53%) had a poor level of knowledge about reproductive health and more than one fourth (27.5%) and less than one fifth (19.5%) of the studied females had accepted and a good level of knowledge respectively.
