Abstract Fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) is a chronic condition characterized by generalized body pain, fatigue, sleep disturbance, impaired cognition, and anxiety with unknown etiology. The most potential causes include genetic, neurologic, psychologic, sleep and immunologic factors (1). It is a common condition that affects 1.3-8 % of the general population (3-5) Females are affected more than males with female to male ratio of 7:1 (7). This is a comparable study that aims at comparing the effectiveness of pain neuroscience education versus transcutaneous vagal nerve stimulation for pain management in fibromyalgia patients. Conducted on 99 patients reccruited at Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Clinic at the Suez Canal University Hospital after fulfilling the exclusion and inclusion criteria . |
