Abstract

Keywords: essential oils, antibiotic combinations, virulence factors, efflux pumps, quorum sensing, gene expression Twenty five isolates of each of Ps. aeruginosa, P. mirabilis,Sh. flexneri and S. aureus were randomly selected from isolates recovered from different clinical samples. The samples were collected from different departments of Tanta University teaching hospitals, including; tracheal secretion, sputum, urine, stool, burn and wound. The isolates were identified and tested for the susceptibility to different antimicrobial agents using the agar dilution method and the multiple antibiotic
