Abstract

ABSTRACT
The environmental issues arising from the combustion of fuel as a result of its use in internal combustion engines, in particular, diesel for tractors, as well as the lack of fossil fuel storage over time must be considered. The energy demand has increased remarkably, especially in emergent countries. This has meant a rapid growth in the level of greenhouse gas emissions and the increase in fuel prices, which are the main driving forces behind efforts to utilize renewable energy sources.
One such solution is the use of an electric tractor. Also the use of free sustainable solar power as a source of renewable energy to help charge batteries by use stand-alone solar array over the electric tractor. As the tractor industry increasingly moves towards electric motors and electric tractors, conventional diesel engines will not fall behind in the agricultural tractor industry. The aims of this study, are oriented towards the idea of an energy balance between the production of solar energy and the demands of the electric tractor. Using the Matlab-Simulink program to make a simulation model evaluate the performance of the solar-powered electric tractor under several operating conditions. The key components of this idea are the solar cell system, the tractor’s electric motor, and of course, the battery that stores the energy from the cells when working in the field and produces it to the electric tractor, taking into consideration evaluating the financial feasibility
