Abstract This experiment was conducted to study the effects of dietary supplementation of rabbits with probiotic (Bacillus amyloliquefaciens) at level of (0.05 and 0.1%)on growth performance parameters (body weight, body weight gain, feed intake and feed conversion ratio), carcass traits and some serum metabolites (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL and LDL). Additionally, the nutritive value of the diets through digestibility trials was also studied. A total of 45 growing NZW rabbits of both sexes weaned at 35 days old and were obtained from the Rabbitary of the National Rabbit Project, Academy of Scientific Research at the faculty of veterinary Medicine, Zagazig University. Rabbits were individually weighed and randomly allotted into 3 groups; each group has three replicates of 5 rabbit each. Rabbits were randomly allotted to the experimental diets. Is caloric, is nitrogenous (2438.13 Kcal/Kg DE, 16.21% CP) pelleted diets were formulated in pelleted form. Feed and water were provided ad libitum throughout the experiment (8weeks). |
