Abstract Avian pathogenic Escherichia coli (APEC) causes aerosacculitis, septicemia and other mainly extra intestinal diseases in chickens and other avian species. In the present study, Fourteen E. coli isolates kindly obtained from (RLQP) Dokki, Egypt in 2017. E. coli strains have been assuredly isolated un contaminated . To detect pathogenicity All isolates were inoculated in vivo and cultured in vitro. The highest resistance was recorded against ampicillin (100%). All isolates were appeared ompA,traT genes .All isolates were negative for stx1,stx2,hly,eaeA and papC genes .Six strain were examined for chuA,yjaA,tspe4C genes and resulted phylogenetic group B2. E.coli vaccines were satisfactory protection against infection with homologous strains, but protection against heterologous strains is less efficient.
