Abstract
Drugs abuse an awfully big problem within the world today and it’s ruining the lives of the many immeasurable people both in adolescent and general population. Aim: assess knowledge and attitudes of secondary school students regarding drug abuse at Minia City. study design: Descriptive research design . Subject: 400 students from High Secondary Schools and Technician Schools. Setting: in Minia City Secondary Schools. Tools: Two tools were utilized in this study. Results: The results show that 78% of students in secondary have poor knowledge scores ,50 % of students in technical school have poor knowledge score regarding drug abuse. Recommendations: Increase student awareness through social media and network regarding drug abuse, and conduct different in-service educational programs for the Secondary and Technician Schools personnel.
