Abstract In recent years, there has been increasing interest in Cloud computing research in general, especially replication strategies and their applications. When the number of replicas is increased and placed in different places, maintaining the system’s data availability, performance . It is an important issue to manage data replication for large distributions through Cloud environment, including maintaining data availability, high performance and system reliability. The thesis presents an evaluation strategy for applying of data replication process in Cloud environment. Most previous studies concerning replication used mathematical models, and few studies focused on swarm intelligence. The strategy contains of three main parts for applying the dynamic data replication process. The first strategy covers replica selection, the second strategy covers replica placement, and the third strategy analyzes reducing costs. Nowadays, swarm intelligence technologies are most popular for dynamic data replication in cloud computing environments. This thesis presents the following four contributions to the data file replication in Cloud. |
