Abstract NR phenomenon is a phenomenon in which there is decreased flow in coronary arteries after angioplasty or stenting in the absence of occlusive disease which has been linked to risk factors and clinical manifestation of myocardial ischemia, several studies have suggested that it is mainly caused by endothelial microvascular dysfunction and distal thromboembolism. This study was conducted on patients who underwent PCI for STEMI from January 2015 to April 2020 as cross-sectional retrospective and prospective comparative study, we randomly select 444 patients with STEMI to identify simple clinical factors, laboratory, angiographic findings, and procedural features that predict NR phenomenon in patients with STEMI who undergo PCI in cardiovascular medicine department at Mansoura Specialized Medicine Hospital. Comparative analysis was done between two group of normal flow and NR with full history regarding age, gender, risk factors (DM, HTN, smoking, family history of CAD). Aim of study: This study is conducted to identify simple clinical factors, laboratory, angiographic findings and procedural features that predict NR phenomenon in patients with STEMI who undergo PCI in cardiovascular medicine department at Mansoura Specialized Medical Hospital. |
