Abstract

Thesis summary : The aim of the thesis is to prepare some new porphyrins with the A2B2 system for biological evaluation as antioxidants, inhibitors of cancer cells and as antimicrobials such as food and negative bacteria and fungi. Also among the goals of the thesis was the preparation of these derivatives in a modern way, as some of the dipyrromethane compounds were prepared, which were used in the formation of A2B2 porphyrins. The chemical composition of the new constructed compounds was identified by various spectroscopy analyzes such as nuclear magnetic resonance (carbon and proton) and ultraviolet rays. The biological studies that were conducted as mentioned above showed that the compounds 4c, 4e, 4g, 5c, 5d have excellent effect as antimicrobial compounds and 4a, 4f, 5a, 5b, 4d, 5d compounds have good effect as inhibitors for antifungal, and compounds 6a, 5b, 6c, 4d, 6h have good antioxidant agents. Thesis content: Content of the dissertation is in (Six) chapters as follow : Chapter One: The introduction contains a study of the chemistry of dipyrromethane in terms of synthesis methods, reactions and applications, and a study of porphyrin chemistry in terms of nomenclature, methods of preparation, and the various reactions of it. Chapter Two: The results obtained were discussed and analyzed, and the mechanics of the reactions mentioned in the thesis were studied, and the chemical compositions of the newly prepared compounds were proven. Chapter Three: Biological evaluation part. The biological studies that were conducted as mentioned above showed that the compounds 4c, 4e, 4g, 5c, 5d have excellent effect as antimicrobial agents and 4a, 4f, 5a, 5b, 4d, 5d compounds have good effect as inhibitors for fungi. Compounds 6a, 5b, 6c, 4d, 6h have good antioxidant agents. Chapter Four: Different Spectral Forms of the proton, Carbon Magnetic Resonance and Ultraviolet. Chapter Five: The experimental part includes practical experiments to prepare new synthesized compounds using different spectroscopic methods. Chapter Six: The scientific references extracted from the thesis.
