Abstract

Therefore the main objective of this study was to extend the Research to evaluate the antibacterial activities of moringa oleifera extract and its silver nano-particles physiological characters of salmonella typhimurim.
Antibiotic susceptibility testing of S.typhimurium isolates revealed that all isolates were MDR with the highest sensitivity rate to imipenem and marked resistance patterns resistant to amoxicillin-clavulanate, Interestingly, all S. Typhimurium isolates were MDR and the MAR index for each isolate was far greater than 0.2, those were resistant to at least 5 antimicrobial agents. Broth microdilution test of the used silver nano-particles synthetized from moringa oleifera extract revealed that recorded the lowest MIC values followed by ethanolic extract of moringa.
IN VIVO: The current study is designed to elucidate whether Moringa oleifera and its nano-particles that may serve as basic structures for the development of novel therapy against multidrug (MDR).
The results:
Hematological effects: The erythrogram revealed that mean values for RBCs, Hb, PCV and platelets were in (S. typhimurium) infected group showed a significant decrease, Co-treatment with moringa silver nano-particles (M AgNPs+S. typhimurium) resulted in insignificant decrease in these values (RBcs, Hb and PCV) while in the second week There was a significant improvement in the erythrogram, leukograms and platelets count. Effect on immunoglobulin M (IGM) level: Significant increase at IGM in the serum at Co-treatment with moringa silver nano-particles (M AgNPs+S. typhimurium) compared to control groups (MOE, M NPs and AgNO3).
Histopathological findings: The majority of intestinal villi of infected rats with salmonella showed necrosis which was represented by partially or completely lost villous epithelium which may extended to the intestinal glands. Hyperplastic goblet cells were detected in most cases. The intestinal glands revealed about 30% necrotic changes with partial replacement by inflammatory cells and edema. A large number of these glands 80% showed activated Paneth cells and apoptosis and were sorunded by inflammatory cells mainly lymphocytes and neutrophils. Mild hyperplastic Payer’s patches could also be detected.
