Abstract In the last two decades, Ionic liquids attract researchers as solvents for Cr electrodeposition due to their wider potential window, good electrical conductivity, low volatility, and low hydrogen evolution compared to aqueous electrolytes. Low chemical stability, high cost, and moderate toxicity of ionic liquids push researchers to try using a new class of green solvents known as deep eutectic solvents (DESs). DESs have the advantages of wider potential window, low toxicity, low environmental bad impact, low cost, and high chemical stability. |
