Abstract The BFP has been recently introduced as uncovered pedicled graft for reconstruction of intra oral defects. Twelve patients were included in this study from those attending to Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department, Faculty of Dentistry, Suez Canal University. They were 8 females and 4 males. They were 2 cases of peripheral giant cell granuloma, 6 cases of pyogenic granuloma, 2 cases of pleomorphic adenoma in addition to a case of residual cyst and another of central giant cell lesion. The surgical procedures were carried out under general anesthesia. Follow up of the cases was preformed till 12 weeks after surgery, it was done clinically by examining the healing of the BFP and its fusion with oral mucosa, presence of any sloughing or inflammation, presence of difference in appearance between the BFP and the surrounding mucosa. The follow up was carried out at 1 st week, 2 nd week, then at 1 st month, 2 nd month, and 3 rd month respectively. |
