Abstract Aim of Study Although ink jet printing is widely used in various applications of textile printing field, its application faces many difficulties such as each fabrics has a specific preatratment method . The aim of the present work is to improve the performance of ink jet printing on cotton, Polyester and Blended (Polyester/Cellulose) fabrics, using a single treatment material for all fabrics it is used in acid and alkali medium. In order to reach this goal, The work was designed to study the effect of adding various concentrations of the new pretreatment materil using ( Mirox ARJ or Mirox P-INK ), as an alternative to the comertial sodium alginate used. These trials were seted in perpose of acheiving a new flexabel, easy and quickly method in addition to be a cheaper method when compared to the traditional one. from colour strength test, it is noted that the new pretreatment using ( Mirox ARJ or Mirox P-INK ) reduces the chemicals used in comparison to traditional pretreatment. Regarding to fastness properties of printed samples pretreat by the new method, an remarkable improvement was observed in washing, rubbing and perspiration fastness. The new method is the fast method because it is used to pretreated all fabrics, it is also used in the acidic and alkaline medium. The new method is a prefered method, because it saves chemicals consuming, time and temperature. In addition to give good result to colour strength. |
