Abstract

The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of supplementation of bee proplis and breed on growth performance, some blood parameters, carcass characteristics and economic efficiency of growing rabbits. Sixty rabbits , from two breeds New Zealand White (NZW) and Baladi Black (BB), were divided and assigned randomly into three experimental groups of 20 rabbits each (10 NZW +10 BB) of 5 weeks of age with an average live body weight of 634±5.44 gm. Rabbits were similar, with respect to body weight and sex. Three experimental diets were formulated to cover all
essential nutrient requirements for growing rabbit. The first group was fed ad libitum a commercial pelleted diet and served as a control, while the other 2 groups were fed experimental diets with two levels of bee proplis extract (50 and 100 mg/ kg
