The current study aimed to identify the types of methods and trends adopted by parents in the social upbringing of the child within the Kurdish community and the factors affecting them through, The descriptive studies approach has been used based on the social survey, analysis and comparison approach, correlational studies and predictive survey. While the data collection tool is a measure of parents ’methods consisting of (73) items, which were applied to a sample of parents who have children of (2- 6) years in Sulaymaniyah In the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, from different age groups. The study sample was chosen using the intentional random sample method for nurseries and kindergartens for children for the academic year (2019-2020), and the sample reached (600) parents, distributed among (455) mothers and (145) Fathers. Thus, the study reached the following results: 1-(equality, encouragement, and discussion). 4- Parents are assiduous in the care for the health and safety of their children and their enrolment in nurseries and kindergartens. 5-Parents clarified that in the process of building the child’s personality, there is no role for Kurdish media outlets in the consolidation of Kurdish social values, customs and traditions, developing the religious beliefs and the compliance with its duties. 6- There is good monitoring and follow-up by parents of what the child watches on TV programs. 7- There is unintentional upbringing of children by parents in discussing general issues in front of their children, despite the lack of answers to them, and it does not affect the formation of the child’s personality in the future.
