Abstract The present study was designed to assess the maternal and neonatal outcome in a tertiary care teaching hospital This cohort study was conducted at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Menofia University Hospitals from 1st of February 2018 to 1stof February 2019. Institutional Board Review approval was obtained before commencing the study. This study cohort involved admitted parturient women to the labor ward. An informed consent was provided by the study participants after explanation of the study to them. All patients underwent both general and obstetric examination And had laboratory investigations and obstetric ultrasound then followed up until delivery occurred either svd or cs. Neonatal outcome was recorded (apgar score, gender, weight and neonatal complications) Our results showed that, Maternal complications increased with PG,those with low Hb level , low gestational age, short 2nd stage, and in those who underwentCS.
