Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a rapidly growing public health problem. Diabetic gastrointestinal disorders are popular complication among diabetic patients. The pathogenesis of GIT disorders in diabetes mellitus is not well clear and induced by multiple factors. Several studies have addressed the antidiabetic properties of Nigella sativa oil. Moreover, Bone marrow-derived mono-nuclear cells represent a heterogeneous population of cells and have already been successfully used as a regenerative therapy in several organs and tissues derangement.
This study was conducted to assess the role of bone marrow derived mononuclear cells versus nigella sativa oil on jejunal alterations on diabetic adult male albino rats.
