Abstract

The main findings of the study revealed that:
 A statically significant positive correlation was found
between human resource management practices and nurse’s
organizational commitment.
 It was reported that reward and recognition has a high level
among human resource management practices, but

compensation has a lower level among human resource
management practices.
 It was reported that the affective organizational commitment
of staff nurses in Mabaret Alasafra hospital has a high level
among nurse’s organizational commitment while the
normative organizational commitment of staff nurses in
Mabaret Alasafra hospital has a lower level among nurse’s
organizational commitment.
Based on the study finding, the following recommendations are
suggested:
I. Hospital services:
 Hospital managers should do the following:
 Provide nurses with extra payment required for extra jobs they
done to increase their commitment level.
 Improve nurse’s working conditions to increase their
commitment level.
 Human resource management department:
 Conduct awareness sessions about human resource management
practices which is important for nurses and other categories in
hospital to improve their performance and increase their
commitment.
II. Education:
 Introduce Human Resource Management course in nursing
curriculum in faculties of nursing.
