Abstract
The present study aimed to synchronize estrus and ovulation for improve fertilization of repeat-breeder buffalo cows and buffalo heifers by using a Controlled Internal Drug Release(CIDR) + prostaglandin F2α(PGF2α)before insemination.A total of 20 cyclic lactating Egyptian buffalo cows(4-7 years old and 400-500 kg live body weight) after 90 days postpartum and 10 cyclic Egyptian buffalo heifers, 2.5 to 4 years of age and 350-400 kg live body weight, were used in this study.Through the experimental period, all experimental animals were kept under the regular systems of feeding and management adopted by Animal Production Research Institute.
