Abstract

Intra uterine insemination (IUI) is regarded as one of the most common and known types of artificial insemination, the rationale is to increase number of sperms at site of fertilization thus increasing pregnancy rate, while adding ovarian stimulation augment this value.Implantation failure is considered one of infertility causes, and remains one of unresolved problems in reproduction. And using scratch help to overcome it.This study used a modified cook catheter to produce endometrial injury in days (7-9) of the same IUI cycle with ovarian stimulation, revealed success rate 16% in case group versus 12% in control group. This study was conducted in Tanta University, at the fertility department from januarry2018 to januarry2019 including 50 patient divided randomly into two equal groups of 25patient.Both groups had ovarian stimulation, in case group a local endometrial injury was done using a modified cook catheter on day (5-7)with IUI.All patients were subjected to Full history; general examination abdominal examination and gynecological examination were done.Basal hormonal profile and complete semen analysis was achieved.after all a pregnancy test was done after two weeks from IUI, if positive transvaginal ultrasound done two weeks later. The results of this study showed that pregnancy rate in case group(16%) which is higher than control group (12%) but there was no significant difference
