called The thesis of ” Delian League (478-404 BC)” focuses on the political situation in Greece in the period (478-404 BC). The study begins with a historical ”introduction” about the mountainous and marine nature of Greece and the emergence of the city state system, then the previous alliances of the Delian League in Greece, and finally the political situation in Greece before the establishment of the Delian League ; and the conditions of Greek cities in the Aegean Sea on the Asian coast during the sixth century BC . The first chapter, entitled “Conditions for the Establishment of the Delian League” deals with the internal conditions and factors in Greece that eventually led to the establishment of the Delian League . It also deals with external factors, especially the conflict between the Persians and Greece in the first and second Persian war. Finally, the goals of establishment of the Delian League .The second chapter, ”The organizational structure of the Delian League”, explains the discord between the cities of the Hellenic Alliance that led to the establishment of the Delian League in 487 BC And the transfer of the leadership of the cities of Greece from Sparta to Athens. It also reviews the headquarters of the Delian League , the mechanism of its work and the charters that have linked its members. Finally, the alliance’s financial and military resources, the establishment of the Alliance’s General Treasury on the island of Delos, and the contributions of its members, both financial and military.Chapter III discusses ”The political and military achievements of the Delian League”, the period of the prosperity of the Athens Empire and its domination of the Delian League. It shows the political role of the Athenian leader Themistocles in building the empire of Athens, the military success achieved by the Athenian leader Cimon of the Delian League, and finally the political and military role played by the Athenian leader Pericles in the history of the alliance and the construction of the empire of Athens.The fourth chapter, “Consequences of the Delian League: Peloponnesian Wars (431-404 BC)” details the introductions that led to the outbreak of war between Athens and Sparta and the split of the Greek world into two parts in the conflict which the Peloponnesian Wars. and the Stages of war.
