المستخلص Introduction: Secondary students suffer from fear, anxiety and lack of psychological security; and the reason may be due to their way of thinking and interpretation of attitudes and events. Since the feelings of the individual and his emotions are the result of his beliefs and what he believes in, and his assessment of things and interpretation of it and not from the events themselves. The problem of the study: Studies indicate that the loss of the feeling of psychological security is a risk factor for the suffering of many problems and mental disorders. As the lack of satisfaction of the individual’s need for psychological security makes him tense and more concerned about the situations of daily life. The study aimed to: Verifying the effectiveness of the proposed rational emotive counseling program in improving feeling of psychological security among high school female students. Methodology: The study used the semi-experimental approach. Study Steps: The study sample was selected from Sherbin Secondary School for Girls in Sherbin Center in Dakahlia governorate, are divided into two equal and matched groups, an experimental group and a control group, divide them into two equal groups (experimental and control), and matched them, proposed rational emotive counseling program in improving feeling of psychological security among high school female students was applied to the experimental group only and the experimental group was not exposed to it, after the application of current study program, the post and followed tests were carried out during the academic year (2017/2018). The results of the study: included the effectiveness of a rational emotive counseling program to improve feeling of psychological security for high school female students. In this light, the researcher presented some recommendations and suggested research. |
