Abstract

The southern Gulf of Suez in Egypt is located at the junction of the
African and Arabian plates, and has excellent hydrocarbon potential and it is
considered as the most prolific oil province rift basin in Africa and the
Middle East.
North Geisum field is located in the offshore Southern entrance of the
Gulf of Suez. This field is considered as a SW tilted fault blocks, where
stratigraphic succession of this field is distinguishable into pre-rift and Synrift sequences. North Geisum discovered in 1981, the oil is produced from
Kareem sand.
