المستخلص This study aimed to identify the attitudes of male and female employees towards female managers at the administration of University of Benha, identifying and measuring the influencing factors (personal, social, organizational) in forming these attitudes, as well as determining the extent of the impact of demographic variables (gender, age, qualification, job level, service duration, marital status, place of birth) in forming these attitudes. The researcher followed the descriptive approach to achieve the objectives of the study, as she designed a questionnaire as a tool for the study as well as personal interviews for the employees. The study community consisted of (1462) items. The questionnaire was distributed among the study sample, which amounted to (305) subjects of (general managers, directors of administration, specialized and office jobs). SPSS was used to analyze the study data. The study came up with the following results: • There are negative attitudes from employees towards female managers in the General Administration at Benha University. • These attitudes were formed as a result of personal, social and organizational factors. These factors determine the managerial behavioral patterns of the female managers and that help in forming negative attitudes towards them. • The researcher made some recommendations aiming at identifying the shortcomings and weaknesses that led to the formation of these negative attitudes. The study also provided some ideas for future studies. |
