Abstract Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common sustained arrhythmia seen in clinical practice. AF is linked to several forms of cardiovascular disease, but may occur in the absence of known structural or electrophysiological abnormalities The of this study was to: 1) describe demographic, clinical, electrocardiographic and echocardio. graphic parameters in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation and 2) Search for any risk factors that predisposed to recurrence of AF episodes among patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation This study comprised from 114 patients of documented of at least 2 paroxysmal AF episodes, who were admitted and managed at cardiology department, Mansoura Specialized Hospital in the period from April 2017 to June 2019. They comprised 48 males, and 66 females. Their ages ranged from 32 to 82 years (61.4 ± 11.15). |
