المستخلص

This study aimed at:

• Identifying the effectiveness of using a program in some text organization skills in developing paragraph writing skills of first year secondary school students.
• Identifying the effectiveness of using a program in some
text organization skills in developing reading comprehension
skills of first year secondary school students.
2 The Findings
The following findings were reached:
1. There was a statistically significant difference (favoring the treatment group) between the mean scores obtained by subjects of the treatment group and those of the non- treatment group in paragraph writing post-test. The difference indicates the effectiveness of the study program in developing those students’ paragraph writing skills.
2. There was a statistically significant difference (favoring the treatment group) between the mean scores obtained by subjects of the treatment group and those of the non- treatment group in reading comprehension post-test. The difference indicates the effectiveness of the study program in developing those students’ reading comprehension skills.
In light of the above findings, it can be concluded that the program in some organizational skills has positive effects on the students’ paragraph writing and reading comprehension. Thus the main aim of the study was achieved proving its effectiveness.
