The basic aim of this study is to determine the impact of the strategic planning of the career path on the job involvement applied to the local administration in Giza Governorate. This study concerns only 8 districts in the city of Giza - and through reviewing the literature of the previous studies related to this, a proposed model has been designedto illustrate the relationship between the variables of the study.
To find out these relations the statistical methods such as statistical Program SPSS 24.
In order to collect the initial data, a survey list was designed and included two measurements; the first is the career path scale, and the second, the job involvement measure. Tests were conducted to evaluate the validity of the models of measurement of the study variables. The survey was directed to a sample of employees and managers of the neighbor districts under study which are represented in (El Omranyah, El Dokki, El Agouza, North of Giza, South of Giza,ElWarakk, El Haram and Boulak El Dakrrour district) The size of the sample was (400) member and the response was (310) ones, with 77.5% of the total sample size.
The study concluded a positive and statistically significant impact of career planning on the work (life-based work, active participation, self-performance, self-control). The results also showed that there was a statistically significant strong direct positive correlation between career path planning and both (life-based work, active participation, and self-fulfilling performance), whereas the correlation between career path planning and self-control was direct and moderate.
The study also found that there is a positive and statistically significant impact on the development of career path on (life-based work, active participation, self-performance, and self-control). The results also showed that there was a strong direct statistically significant correlation between career development and the following items (life-based work and active participation), while it was a direct moderate correlation between career development and self-control.
• The results of the study also showed that there are no statistically significant differences in employees’ perception of the strategic planning (as a whole) of the career path according to demographic characteristics except for at the organizational levelthe results showed that there were statistically significant difference at a level of 99% confidence, where the test meaning (0.000) was lower than the evidence level (1.00%)and the difference were in favor of managers responses. The results also showed that there are no statistically significant differences in employees’ perception of the job involvement(as a whole) according to demographic characteristics except for at the organizational level where the results showed statistically significant difference at the 99.00% confidence level where the meaning of the test (0.000) and all of them were below the level of evidence (1.00%) and the difference where in favor of the responses of managers.
The results of the statistical analysis showed the statistical differences between the neighborhood districts each other towards the strategic planning of the career path and there are statistically significant differences at the level of both career path planning and careerpath development and career strategic planning career at 99% confidence level.
The results of the statistical analysis showed that there are no statistical differences between the neighborhood districts towards each other in relation to the following items (life-based work, active participation and self-control). On the other hand, the results showed that there were statistically significant differences at 95% confidence level. While at the level of job involvement (as a whole), the results confirmed the absence ofstatistically significant differences between the neighborhood districts and each other.
