Abstract The effect of adding nanoparticles to the base fluid on the heat transfer rate and pressure DROP of a double pipe heat exchanger (DPHE) with coil wire inserted was experimentally investigated. Al2O3 / water nanofluid with different volume concentrations (Øv) was used as the cold fluid flow in the inner tube while hot water flows in the annular tube. Both cold and hot fluids flow with turbulent conditions. The coil was wounded carefully at the outer surface of the inner tube, with different coil geometry, to be sure of good contact with the tube surface. The influence of the nanofluid Øv. |
