Abstract

Rice is the stable food of more than 50% of the world population. It provides 700 calories per person, mostly residing countries. By the year 2025, 21% increase in rice production will be needed over that of year 2000 (Bhuiyan et al. 2002). Rice has played a role of paramount importance to the economy of Egypt, coming second after wheat in terms of contribution to foreign exchange earnings. Its impact on the economy lies within the fact that rice occupies about 22% of the cultivated area in Egypt during the summer season, thus consuming about 18% of the total water resources. Rice is one of the most effective and profitable means of reclaiming hundreds of thousands of acres of saline lands. The total harvested area in the world in 2017 season 167.2 million hectares The experiment was arranged in Factorial Experiment in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with four replications. The experiment includes three factors, First factor includes 5 rice cultivars which obtained from Rice Research. Institute at Sakha, ARC, Ministry of Agriculture, Egypt i.e. Giza 178, Egyptian Hybrids 1, Sakha 101, Sakha 104 and Sakha 106. The second factor included soaking in four antioxidants i.e. humic acid at 500.
