Abstract

The presence of antibiotic resistant bacteria in the environment has been widely reported and is a current topic of discussion worldwide. This study was conducted to find out the resistance patterns of Coliform group,Enterococci group, and Pseudomonas bacteria in different hosts(humans,animals and birds)to compare this with isolated strains from marine and fresh water; and the uses of antibiotic resistant patterns of fecal indicators bacteria for predicting the source of fecal contamination of fresh and marine water in Gaza Strip- Palestine.
