Abstract Introduction: Media is one of the significant sources of guidance and development in any society. It influences the audiences’ interests as well as their intellectual, academic, social and technological levels that’s why it has a great importance in the process of building societies as it is one of the main elements forming the features of societies.Now, the World tackles the design of school journalism through social media like twitter and google. Moreover, UNIESCO organization organized a lot of workshops for it in many Arab countries. There is no doubt that school media is a main and significant source in building student’s personality so, if school’s function is to raise today’s generations for tomorrow, it must cope with the information flow in various fields to enable them to adapt with the era developments.As information has an educational function in forming human’s situations as well as building his personality. school must cope with this development by including media process in its main educational activities to achieve its goals and desires which are examplified in creating a positive human adapted with his society and committed with its laws and values. In this sense, it is known that electronic school journalism is one of the media means which employs computer powers in designing electronic school journalism so as not to be far from modern technological developments as it uses colors, images , motion , schedules , paintings , sounds and backgrounds and so many other means. All these factors contribute in attracting student’s attention to follow electronic school journalism and know journalism’s modern techniques.Study’s problem and its importance:The importance of the study was exemplified in the researcher’s notes that there is an urgent necessity of electronic school journalism as it is an effective communication tool with the students as well as proposing many cultural, scientific, leisure and educational subjects in a new and interesting form to them. Electronic school journalism also copes with the developments of the modern era which is full of many modern technological means so, it is an attractive mean that encourages students to take part in preparing and reading it. That’s why it must depend on journalism modern techniques in proposing its contents such as various arts and using images, paintings, video and all music kinds as well as texts to share the same amount of technological development which we live today. It isn’t only developing media skills but also awareness of all programs used in designing this kind of journals.So, its problem would be in the following question:What is the relation between electronic school journalism and developing the awareness of journalism modern techniques of high school students?Objective: The study’s purpose is to shed light on one of journalism fields which is electronic school journalism. It aims at identifying its role in raising awareness of multimedia in the Egyptian high school students through their participation in electronical school journalism activities. This is to know its role in student’s lives and the ways from which they are exposed to multimedia through its different contents.Method: The study included descriptive studies. It depends on survey method to obtain the problem’s data, information, description and all its aspects.Study tools:Questionnaire is used to obtain the information related to the field study.The sample:It has been applied on stratified random sample of 300 members from high school students in Al–Monfieya and Al- Quliybia governorates.Results:The study concluded to prove all the questions related to it. One of the prominent results of field study was that 36.7% of sample members always read electronic school journalism in addition to 56.4% come in the first rank read it according to circumstances. In the first rank, there is 31.3% recorded the highest percent in student’s browsing reasons . This is because it increases their general information as well as their knowledge of Egypt’s and World’s news. The techniques quality, of which students prefer to use it in electronic school journalism like animated and color images, comes in the first rank by 36.4% of sample members. Moreover, electronic school journalism contribution in developing journalism techniques to high school students was somehow in the first rank by 61.1% while 34.2% is in the second rank.Results of analytical study: The possibility to move between pages in electronic school journalism for the study’s sample is available for all schools and for each school by 100%. Regarding the first rank, the possibility of providing search tools for electronic school journalism comes by 60% while images and paintings by 51.4% as the most accompanied multimedia to texts. In the second rank, there is the well text by 21.2%. Moreover, most influences related to texts in electronic school journalism was for color and backgrounds by 55.3% in the first rank while background influence is in the second rank by 27.1%. In the first rank as well, this is the main headline, the most used headlines in electronic school journalism by 49.7% while secondary headline in the second rank by 31.7%. The aim of using images and paintings in electronic school journalism to clarify the subject’s content is in the first rank by 40.2% and stars and circles, as the most used beauty breaks in electronic school journalism, by 24% while icons is in the second rank by 22.5% and backgrounds usage as breaks is in the third rank by21.3%.
