Abstract

The study design was carried out at The Department of ophthalmology Tanta University Hospitals and Damietta ophthalmology hospital. 40 patients were included in this study which started at January 2018 to January 2019.Dry eye is a disorder of the tear film due to tear deficiency or excessive evaporation and it is a multifactorial disease. Dry eye symptoms include stinging or burning of the eye; episodes of excess tearing that follow periods of very dry sensation; a sticky discharge; pain and redness of the eye.Sometimes people with dry eye experience heaviness of the eyelids or blurred, changing, or decreased vision. Symptoms are found to worsen in dry weathers, with low humidity and higher temperatures. Our study showed that in both the dry eye group pre and post treatment repeated dual corneal topographic measurements were in excellent agreement for minimum corneal thickness, CCT, apex curvature, anterior chamber volume, horizontal anterior chamber diameter, irido corneal angle, cornea volume. One can expect that the unstable tear film may result in an irregular surface and may disrupt the topographic measurements. With tear film instability, the quality of the refractive surface is unpredictable, often changing dramatically between blinks. This study evaluated 40 right eyes and 40 left eyes of 40 patients. 20 males and 20 females with age from 20 up to 40. 30 patients live in the city and 10 lives in rural area. 5 patients are smokers. All of them fulfilling the inclusion criteria were examined
