Abstract The more steps used in the conventional fabrication of the RPD frameworks may increase the chances for errors and results in an ill-fitting framework. The use of new CAD/CAM techniques in the design and construction of RPD lead to a denture framework that is tailor-made to each patient’s needs. This study was carried to compare the accuracy of fit for a digitally designed maxillary RPD frameworks fabricated by direct and indirect CAD/CAM techniques: direct milling (polyetheretherketone milling) and indirect rapid prototyping (resin printing combined with conventional thermopress technique). Twenty frameworks were made; ten for each definitive technique. |
