Abstract

Nowadays, several new technologies support the highway transportations to reduce the fuel consumption, emissions and improve the brake thermal efficiency. Among these technologies, is the using of hydrogen (H2) in the Internal combustion Engine (ICE), which be found in Water and air. The aim from this experimental work is Reduce the consumption of fossil fuels in cars and increase strategic reserves. Design and construction of a water analysis to the two gases hydrogen and oxygen. The reduction of environmental pollutants associated with the operation of internal combustion engines. Increase the reliability and life of the engine operation. HHO cell was designed, fabricated and optimized for maximum HHO gas productivity per input power. The optimized parameters were the number of neutral plates and distance between them. The performance of a 168F-1 gasoline engine was evaluated with and without the optimized HHO cell. The results showed that the HHO gas maximum productivity of the cell was 180 L/h when using 43 neutrals plates with 3 mm distance. The results also showed improved the engine power between 2.5-5% depend on engine load, increase the brake thermal efficiency between 25-44%, and reduce the brake specific fuel consumption between 15-40% based on engine load.
On the other axis has been developed the decision of engines course for the fifth grade of advanced technical school specialty automotive to keep pace with technological updates and in the light of the findings of the engineering part of this research has been added part in the Pollutants Prevention Unit in line with the times.
