Abstract Behçet disease is a type of systemic vasculitis characterized by recurrent orogenital ulcers, uveitis, and skin, articular, vascular, neurologic, and gastrointestinal manifestations. Cardiovascular involvement including affection of all sizes of blood vessles plus all layers of heart. Modifiable risk factors such as blood pressure, atherogenic blood lipids, hyperglycaemia, weight and smoking have been demonstrated to have a significant impact for cardiovascular disease. In Behçet‘s disease, cardiovascular involvement can be seen even in young patients, according to the duration of the disease. Therefore, the determination of proper diagnosis, treatment, and prevention tools in this population who are cardiologically asymptomatic continues to draw attention as amajor challenge. My study is focusing on evaluating traditional risk factors in Behçet disease that may increase the possibility of developing cardiovascular complications in that disease. The study was performed on 182 patients of Behçet disease, who were selected from out-patient clinics of rheumatology, ophthalmology, dermatology and neurology, Menoufia University Hospital, Tanta University Hospital, Elmansoura University Hospital and Bani suef University Hospital during the period from April 2018 to august 2019 , 80 healthy adult individuals as controls. All controls and patients were subjected to medical history taking and complete physical examination.
