The present research aimed to develop the curricula of social studies for the pupils with learning disabilities at the preparatory stage in the light of the approach of science, technology and society in the light of human development requirements. To achieve this goal, the research sought to answer the main question: How can the curricula of social studies in the preparatory stage be developed in the light of the ”science, technology and society” approach to students with learning disabilities to develop the requirements of human development? The sample of the research consisted of (130) girl in the first grade of the preparatory stage in Sinbillawin Preparatory Girls School under the Educational administration of Sinbillawin in Dakahlia Governorate. After applying the tools, sorting and classifying their responses and excluding the invalid ones, the final research sample became (22) pupils. For conducting the research, the researcher prepared both of: a card for evaluating the educational objectives of the social studies curricula confirmed by the approach of science, technology and society, a tool of analyzing the contents of the curricula of the social studies in the preparatory stage in the light of the approach of science and technology and the society, a card for noting the teaching performance and the educational activities used by the teachers of social studies at the preparatory stage, two units of the proposed curriculum which are ”Water Resources and the Role of Science, Technology and Society in Preservation” and ”The Ancient Egypt History” from the developed approach, the achievement test in the two proposed units to measure the extent of students achievement, a critical thinking test in the two proposed units, a scale of the direction towards human development requirements, a scale of the trend towards the integration of science, technology and society. The results of the research indicated that there was a need for the development of social studies curricula at the preparatory stage for pupils with learning difficulties in the light of the approach of science, technology and society for the pupils ’ achievement level development, the development of critical thinking skills, the development of the trend towards human development requirements, the trend development towards the integration between science, technology and society. And in light of these results, the researcher presented some recommendations and proposed researches.
