This study aims at recognizing the procedures and mechanisms followed by Egypt and the European Union to encounter dumping, how matching they are, how effective these mechanisms are in each of them and finally the harmony of these procedures and mechanisms with their Counterparts provided for in the anti-dumping agreement. For achieving this objective, the study has relied on a number of research methodologies that are descriptive, analytical, comparative approach.The study has been limited to analysing the dumping cases filed by Egypt against China in respect with the dumping of the porcelain tableware product as well as the product of tyres of trucks and vans. But as for the European Union, the study has analyzed the dumping cases of melamine product as well as ceramic tiles product filed by the European Union against China. The study was divided into three parts, one of which is introductory part in which the study has treated the trading policies and the harmful practices to the international trade (Dumping). In the part one, the study has handled the procedures and mechanisms of anti-dumping according to the anti-dumping agreement and according to the European regulation as well as the dumping cases. In part two, the study has treated the anti-dumping procedures and mechanisms according to the executive regulations of the Egyptian law and dumping cases.The study has led to a number of results, the most important ones of which are: the harmony of anti-dumping procedures and mechanisms to a big extent between Egypt and the European Union with their counterparts in the anti-dumping agreement, and the success of the laws set forth for anti-dumping in Egypt and the European Union in relation to detracting from its impact.
