Abstract
A field experiment was carried out at El-Gemmiza Agriculture Research station Gharbia Governorate during the two successive winter seasons of 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 seasons. This investigation aimed to study the physiological response of four wheat cultivars namely Gemmeiza 12, Misr 1, Giza 168 and Sids 13 to four irrigation regime treatments i.e normal or conventional irrigation as control, withholding irrigation at tillering stage, withholding irrigation at heading stage and finally with holding irrigation at grain filling stage. This work also aimed to study the response of the four tested cultivars to water stress in relation to growth, some physiological, yield and yield components characters
